A study of woodwork manpower training and skill inheritance of Taiwan yacht industry / 遊艇木工人才培育與技術傳承的現況研究

碩士 / 國立高雄師範大學 / 工業科技教育學系 / 104 / The purpose of this study was to explore woodwork manpower training and skill inheritance of Taiwan yacht industry. The study method applied qualitative research. Sample were from Taiwan’s yacht factory with manufacturing mega yacht which has own interior decorating engineering. Three yachts’ operator on site or personnel director were selected for interviewing. Then based on literature review, design the semi-structured interview questionnaires outline on interviewing these operator on site or personnel director. Classified these answer coded by inter-observer agreement to get the research objectiveness.
The result of the study found that first, Taiwan’s yacht factories with regard to woodwork manpower exists manpower shortage. Second, confronting the problems of Environmental Pollution and Land Price for “ Southern Stare Luxury Yachtbuilding Park ” most of yachts preserve conservative attitude. Third, encountering shortage of manpower yachts have high willingness to train manpower which possesses enthusiasm and curiosity.
According to the result of the study, giving some suggestions on the woodwork of Taiwan yacht industry and manpower training department. In Taiwan yacht industry, collecting information on woodworking skills, knowledge and experience to conduct a systematic analysis. In manpower training department, referencing to international yacht woodworking industry norms related or imitating the top 5 on mega yacht country of the world to develop training systems which hope to resolve the problems on woodwork manpower training and skill inheritance.
