碩士 / 國立高雄師範大學 / 人力與知識管理研究所 / 104 / This study is about the effect of knowledge acquisition on the entrepreneurs who start business by cultivating earthworms, and to realize the entrepreneurs’ motivation, the manners they got knowledge from, and the strategy to the process of start business. There are three research cases which were from North, Middle, and South of Taiwan in this study. We got the entrepreneurs’ speech dates through in-depth interview, and then transferring those date into words to do the research.
The findings in the study discovered that those motivations of these entrepreneurs’ were the undiscovered business opportunity, the value to the environment, and the adaptability of the industrial diversity. In the beginning of the business, there was no certain approach and recourse to acquire knowledge. The major approaches to accumulate knowledge were from Internet, exchanging with clients, and self-experience. In the early process of starting a business, it’s usually difficult to acquire knowledge, market, and have enough capital as well as no developed market. In the period of business expending, how to increase the efficiency of managing factory buildings would be concerned. In the situation that the production increasing, the main crucial role is planning management and the other is material management. Because of the live earthworms in the factory, the food for the live earthworms is absolutely essential. With the increasing output, the need of materials will increase as well. In that period of time will determine that whether a business would keep growing and enhance the competitively or go bankrupt. In the steady growing period, each entrepreneur’s industry has controlled the core skills and owned stable efficacy and customer groups. The next concern is the industry integrated, and that occurs a discrepancy in the earthworm industry. The greatest difference is that the process of knowledge acquisition and the effect of the advance knowledge cause the business planning difference, and finally it comes into diversification.
