碩士 / 國立澎湖科技大學 / 水產資源與養殖研究所 / 104 / The purpose of this study was to investigate the composition of fish larvae and juveniles in Chenggong bay of Penghu. A total number of 23,333 fish larvae and juveniles in 133 species and 59 families were collected by fyke net during December 2013 to February 2015. The species richness in spring and summer is better than in autumn and winter. Furthermore, species composition varied with season: the dominant species in winter was Mugilidae gen. spp. (79.4%) and Acanthopagrus latus (9.8%); Siganus fuscescens (62.4%) and Nematalosa japonica (14.8%) in spring; Stolephorus indicus (23.0%), Siganus fuscescens (14.7%), Mullidae gen. spp. (10.9%) and Nematalosa japonica (10.1%) in summer; Stolephorus indicus (54.1%) and Mugilidae gen. spp. (9.6%) in autumn. Larval and juvenile fish of most species mainly recruit during April to June; furthermore, it includes some economic species such as Lethrinus nebulosus, Coryphaena hippurus, and Terapon jarbua. It will benefit the conservation of fish diversity and fishery resources if we make some appropriate fishery management decisions during this period.
