Consumer''s cognition and willingness to pay for Traceability of Tilapias in Kaohsiung City / 臺灣鯛漁產之食品安全-以高雄市消費者產銷履歷認知為例

碩士 / 國立中山大學 / 經濟學研究所 / 104 / There are many food safety and hygiene related events occurred in 2013 in Taiwan. Nowadays, food safety of aquatic is very important. In recent years, peoples pay more attentions on the food and the quality of food. Traceability system was initiated by Taiwan government in 2007. Although the traceability system has been promoted for many years, we do not know is it effect?
Therefore, the objectives were to study the information of consumer cognition and willingness to pay for Traceability of Tilapias in Kaohsiung City. This study utilizes a survey conducted in May 2015 by using questionnaire in Kaohsiung City. In addition, the study also adopts the test of independence and the test of homogeneity of chi-square analysis to analyze the objectives of this study.
Results showed that 94.3% of consumers consider to need safety certification of aquatic. For the question that 72.4% of consumers are understanding of Traceability of Tilapias, there was 42.6% of them feeling products are not safe. Besides, the results that consumers accepted the price of Traceability of Tilapias increased in the range of 25%
