碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 水產養殖學系 / 104 / The main purpose of this study was evaluated the consumer participating Taiwan Aquarium Expo in Kaohsiung and Taipei by using questionnaires to survey consumer’s information, ornamental fish species, consideration and amount of purchasing products from 2010 to 2014. The statistical was determined by using Pearson's chi-squared test to compare consumer characteristics between Taipei and Kaohsiung.
The chi-square test result showed that, consumer in Kaohsiung Expo was older and higher proportion of married than Taipei Expo. In term of proportion of occupation, the proportion of students in Taipei Expo was significant higher than Kaohsiung Expo. Concerning personal monthly income, consumer in Kaohsiung Expo was higher than Taipei Expo. Regarding purchasing place, consumer in Taipei Expo preferred traditional aquarium while consumer in Kaohsiung Expo preferred hypermarkets aquarium. Consideration of purchasing products, the consumer in Taipei Expo chose products by brand and consumer in Kaohsiung Expo spent on aquarium water care products significantly higher than the other side.
