碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 海洋環境資訊系 / 104 / This research is based on the water quality and monitoring of algae in the Techi Reservoir from 1998 to 2014. By using the Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) to conduct the correlation analysis, principal component analysis and factor analysis, targeting water chemical parameters ( Temperature , Turbidity, pH Index, Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Suspended Solids (SS), Total Organic Carbon (TOC), NH3-N, NO3--N , PO43-, Total Phosphorus (TP), Chlrophyll a (chl-a) and the chemical parameters of algae (Dinophyta , Bacillariophyta and Chlorophyta), a total of 16 chemical parameters, were involved to determine the effect of the Techi Reservoir water quality on factors concerning Algal Bloom. The result of this research is to provide an insight on predicting the trend of water reservoirs and setting up a model for algal ecosystems, to predict the level of water pollution and the abnormal overproduction of algal, and to take preventive measures.
Firstly, the correlation analysis shows that the nutrients, turbidity and seasonal factors vary with each monitoring point. The pH, SS, turbidity, TP, and NH3-N are mostly affected by typhoon or heavy rain, resulting in abundant nutrients and sand entering the upstream catchment area. The growth of chl-a is mostly affected by the nutrients and water temperature. The factors governing the growth of dominant algae in the Techi Reservoir with respect to the principal component analysis include Dinophyta being influenced primarily by the turbidity, nutrients, and seasonal change, respectively; Bacillariophyta is influenced primarily by organic substances followed by nutrients; Chlorophyta is primarily influenced by turbidity, followed by organics substances and nutrients. In terms of seasonal effects, spring is mostly influenced by algal factors, nutrients, and organic substances; summer is mostly influenced by algal factors, seasonal factors, and organic factors; autumn is mostly influenced by algal factors and nutrients. With the increase of the N/P ratio in the water body, the algal growth increases. The major factors influencing the reservoir water body include SS, organic substrates, and phosphorus nutrients. The major factors that contribute to Algal Bloom include turbidity, nutrients and organic substance.
