碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 航運管理學系 / 104 / Sea Transportation is a low-cost mode of transportation, it has a loading capacity advantage. Three-quarters of the logistics is transported by marine transportation today. Nowadays shipping technology rapid develevoped and applied, nevertheless, shipwreck has not been deduced along with technology development. According to research report, human factors at sea for more then 80%. Ship navigators are faced with large vessel, high speed and complex shipment. Therefore, this study focuses on the key factor of ship navigators’ job stress by literature review and experts’ questionnaire. Expect that it is helpful for discussing deck officers’ jod stress.
1.This study is organized by Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to analyze industrial and academic experts’ questionnaire. This research method is simple and clarified. It could analyze the weight rating of the key factor of deck officers’ job stress. The result of the study shows that industrial and academic experts identify correspondingly Psychological Level which is most important, it is occupied 45%. Secondly Skill Level is occupied 36%. Physical Level is occupied 19% lastly.
2.Besides, this study founded eight main dimensions for the key factor of ship navigators’ job stress: emergency events in navigation (16.4%), lack of strain treatment (10.8%), too heavy responsibility of working rank (8.9%), English ability can’t meet the needs of job (8.0%), relationship onboard (7.5%), unable to get along with family for a long time (7.4%), heavy ocean traffic (7.3%) and insufficient seamanship skill (7.3%).
For this reason, this study gives suggestion which provide shipping company managers to improve the key factor of deck officers’ job stress. Hope it could be reduced then promote safety of navigation. To active employment market of Taiwanese seamen. The workplace of vessel will be smooth and better.
