碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 教育研究所 / 104 / The purpose of this study is to explore the correlation between the attitude of professional development and teaching effectiveness of teachers from in Maritime and Fishery Vocational High Schools. Census questionnaire was submitted to teachers in five maritime and fishery vocational schools, including National Keelung Maritime Vocational School, National Penghu Maritime and Fishery Vocational School, National Suao Maritime and Fishery Vocational High School, National Tung Kang Maritime and Fishery Vocational High School, and National Tainan Maritime and Fishery Vocational High School. 402 questionnaires in total are submitted to study subjects, and 257 ones are recovered. The valid recovery rate is 64%, and among them, valid rate is 99.6%. The result was analyzed by statistical methods such as mean, standard deviation-test, analysis of cochran Q test, factor analysis, Pearson Product-Moment Correlation and Stepwise Regression are used to analyze the data.
Conclusions are as follows:
I. The current attitude of professional development of teachers from in Maritime and Fishery Vocational High Schools is good; however, there's still room for improvement in their will and actual participation when it come to actively holding or taking part in activities about education.
II. The teaching effectiveness of teachers in Maritime and Fishery Vocational High Schools is high. They perform best in classroom management, while poorer in teaching assessment.
III. Gender, age, educational background, and years of service affect these teachers' attitudes in professional development.
IV. Gender, educational background, years of service, and teaching field impact these teachers' teaching effectiveness.
V. High-positive correlation between their professional development attitude and teaching effectiveness. The predictive power of professional development attitude toward teaching effectiveness is 60.5%.
From the given conclusions, suggestions are proposed to teachers in Maritime and Fishery Vocational High Schools, authorities of educational administration, and future researchers.
