Dynamic Characteristics of Micro-Grid with Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion and Wind Power Generation / 含海洋溫差與風力發電之微型電網動態特性研究

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 電機工程學系 / 104 / The main purpose of this thesis is to analyze the dynamic charactistics of micro-grid with Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) and wind power generation. For the purpose of comparison the considered OTEC types include open-cycle, closed-cycle, and hybrid-cycle. Furthermore, when the system operates on islanding or grid-connected, the responses of load variation and wind speed variation are quite different. From the results, the open-cycle demands the largest seawater, its power of water pumps are the most, its heat transfer rate are better than closed-cycle. The closed-cycle and hybrid-cycle need not more seawater, and their temperature, mass flow, and pumps are same. As the system operates in the grid-connected mode, the voltage and frequency are less affected by load changes and wind speed variation. However, the output power of wind generator is much affected by wind speed changes. While the system operates under the islanding mode, the power is stably supplied by the wind generator, and the OTEC generator offers insufficient power to meet the load demands. And the affected voltage and frequency can be regulated by the exciter and the governor respectively and will return to a new stable state. From the results, the OTEC system can be regarded as a steady and reliable power supply in the micro-grid.
