碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 輪機工程學系 / 104 / Because of the impact of the rapid development of global economy, students will face the competitive society after graduation, for the reason, educational curriculum should be planned properly. Taiwan is surrounded by the sea. As a result, Taiwan has the inherent advantage of geographical conditions for the development of shipping industry. The shipping industry has become the hub of Taiwan's economic development. Marine engineering is the expertise of power system operation, management and maintenance. And it is also the key of the development of shipping industry. This research is mainly to investigate the elective courses curriculum design affecting career survey on the Department of Marine Engineering, National Taiwan Ocean University.
The research uses the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) method to analyze the degree of importance of the elective courses. First, issues questionnaires to the marine experts, professors and graduates of the Department of Marine Engineering, NTOU. Then, analyze the distinction between the viewpoints of industry and academia, and analyze the distinction between the viewpoints of people has on-board internship upon the seafaring or not. The purpose of this study is to improve the elective courses curriculum design for the Department of Marine Engineering in order to make graduates’ skills better and decrease the gap between learning and applying.
