Using Theory of Planned Behavior to Understand University Students’ Intention and Behavior of Working Overseas / 以計畫行為理論探討大學生畢業後赴海外工作意願之研究

碩士 / 台南應用科技大學 / 國際企業經營系碩士班 / 104 / Research on working overseas in the domain of university students from an attitudinal–behavioral approach has been limited. The purpose of this study is to explore the relationships among students’ attitudes toward working overseas, subjective norms, perceived behavior controls, intentions and behaviors based on the theory of planned behavior. Moreover, the role of behavior intention between perceived behavior control and behavior is examined for identifying the mediating effect. A questionnaire survey was conducted to fulfill this purpose using a sample of 557 effective questionnaires gathered from students of three universities in Tainan. The research results show that all the hypotheses in the TPB model are supported. Behavior intention turned out to partially mediate the effects of perceived behavior controls on behaviors. Gender has insignificant effects on the relationships between variables of TPB models. Finally, implications and future directions are discussed.
