碩士 / 國立雲林科技大學 / 工業工程與管理系 / 104 / With the change of consumer behavior, logistic transportations become more frequently. The past studies have shown that cost of logistical vehicle distribution is a major part of total operating cost. Therefore, how to organize an appropriate vehicle fleet is an important decision for logistic companies.
This study evaluates different multi-vehicle fleet size given the operation stations and distribution centers. The objective is to minimize the total cost which includes: vehicle fixed cost, maintenance cost, fuel cost, and pollution cost.
A simulation model is developed on the basis of a real world logistic company. Simulation results indicate that the multiple-trip fleet is better than the single-trip fleet, and total cost can be reduced up to 40.89%. In addition, simulation experiments include control policy of distribution center (50% commodity strategy) and full utilization of returning vehicle. We expect that the research results could provide for logistic decisions.
