碩士 / 國立中正大學 / 生命科學系分子生物研究所 / 105 / Phostensin (protein phosphatase-1 regulatory subunit 18) is encoded by KIAA1949. The previous results in our laboratory have demonstrated that phostensin is a protein phosphatase-1 regulatory protein and F-actin cytoskeleton targeting protein. Phostensin can bind to EHD proteins, which play a critical role in regulation of endoctyic transportation. Phostensin binds to the G domain of EHD proteins. This interaction may block the oligomerization of EHD proteins, in turn affecting the endocytic recycling. In my study, I over-expressed phostensin in cell lines and used flow cytometry to analyze the effect of phostensin on the endocytic transport of transferrin. Our results indicated that overexpression of phostensin can attenuate the endocytic transportation of transferrin.
