碩士 / 朝陽科技大學 / 資訊與通訊系 / 105 / Resulting from the consideration of environmental protection and health, E-Bike is becoming more and more popular. Currently, most of the E-Bike rely on the network to complete the real-time and turn-by-turn navigation. However, some users or situations without network may bring troubles for navigation. Hence, our goal aims to develop a low cost navigation system with offline and turn-by-turn navigation service.
OpenStreetMap (OSM) is the only crowd-sourced and open-sourced map of the globe.Skobbler, which is based on the OSM, provides offline routing and turn-by-turn navigation developing software. We then used Skobbler software to develop our navigation system. Google Maps APIs were also included in the system to help users search for the nearby and well-known places or stores. In addition, the related parameters of E-Bike such as battery status, cycling speed, etc. are sensed and integrated into the system by wireless Bluetooth technology to enrich the navigation information. In summary, the benefits of an open source model will provide an enormous opportunity to change the economic models of navigation and other location-based services.
