碩士 / 大葉大學 / 教育專業發展研究所 / 105 / The purpose of this study was to investigate the statistical differences among the cultural sensitivity, teachers’ self-efficacy and life adjustment from different backgrounds. And also to discuss the correlation between the cultural sensitivity, teachers’ self-efficacy and life adjustment. Furthermore, the predictability based on the cultural sensitivity, teachers’ self-efficacy and life adjustment were analyzed.
Though questionnaire-survey method, 270 overseas Taiwan school teachers were selected. The effective samples are 254 which is 94.1% of the total samples. The questionnaires were evaluated by Cultural Sensitivity Scale, Teachers’ Self-efficacy Scale and Life Adjustment Scale. the data obtained from the questionnaire was analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation, and multiple hierarchical regression analysis.
The results of the study were as follows: (a) the cultural sensitivity, teachers’ self-efficacy and life adjustment of overseas Taiwan school teachers is significantly different in highest education and seniority. (b)There were significant positive correlations in terms of cultural sensitivity, teachers’ self-efficacy and life adjustment. (c) cultural sensitivity and teachers’ self-efficacy could significantly predict effective life adjustment; teachers’ self-efficacy could significantly predict effective life adjustment.
The suggests for educational administrations, schools, overseas Taiwan school teachers, and future researchers were made according to the results in the study.
