碩士 / 佛光大學 / 未來與樂活產業學系 / 105 / Life releasing activity originated from Mahayana Sutras is a traditional Chinese folk beliefs, and it is popular in China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam and other regions. In Taiwan, the most familiar life releasing activity is held by Master Hai Tao.
In Taiwan, the past two decades, life releasing activity patterns is gradually changing with people's ideological improvement. Taiwan's early life releasing activities were mainly led by religious groups. Due to the rising of public awareness of environmental protection, people begin to understand that life releasing activities will affect the ecological balance and destruction problem. Such as environmental protection groups strongly opposes to the large-scale life releasing of religious groups, because it will lead to lots of problems like animal trade, animals casualties in the process of delivery and local ecological balance and other issues caused by a large number of life releasing. One of the most notable thing in recent years is that the religious group led by Master Hai Tao has become the biggest life releasing group. Because of this, Master Hai Tao has become the most controversial issue in this field. There are many nagative news about him in the newspapers and public medias. In this study, Master Hai Tao, his life experience and the thoughts for life releasing need to be discussed.
This study is divided into six chapters to explore the Master Hai Tao life release activities, except for the introduction and the conclusion, chapter two is the introduction of life releasing activities, chapter three is Master Hai Tao's life and his thoughts introduction, chapter four is Master Hai Tao's religious group, and the last chapter is influence of Master Hai Tao releasing activities to ecological environment. We hope to understand the relationship between life releasing activities and ecological environment by exploring recent Master Hia Tao's releasing activities development.
