碩士 / 輔仁大學 / 金融與國際企業學系金融碩士在職專班 / 105 / Nearly decade, Taiwan's banking industry has developed abroad because of small size and low profit. In addition, Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) encourages domestic banks to "move out of Taiwan and layout Asia". In particular, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is the key target area for domestic banks to develop outward. Therefore, this is a current urgent issue of overseas expansion from Taiwan's banking.
This paper applies the Delphi method and summarizes some key success factors for Taiwan's banking overseas expansion from the interview with experts. We get the same opinion from the experts that we interviewed through the questionnaire investigation three times. Afterward, this dissertation utilizes pairwise comparisons in the Analytic Hierarchy Process method to obtain the weights and priorities of individual indicators. Based on the above, generalize the key success factors for Taiwan's banking overseas expansion from using Delphi method and Analytic Hierarchy Process method.
We can found out that the main reasons for Taiwan's banking overseas expansion are according to these 10 factors. For example, the degree of understanding of local laws and regulations, according to the local market attributes focus on specific customers (such as Taiwan businessmen) and the size of the spread and the financial industry profit situation.
