碩士 / 國立金門大學 / 海洋與邊境管理學系碩士班 / 105 / Since the ancient time, Kinmen and Xiamen is closely related in terms of geographical location and the origin of history. As the militarization decreased in 1992, thetransportation between Kinmen to Xiamen Ferry and Airlines became popular in the 2001. Border protection is crucial at this point, the government set different degrees of coastal defense, border defense and security border patrol. However, the lack of intensity on border patrol, as militarization decreasing, has caused a huge security problem in Kinmen as illegal immigration and crimes increase.
The paper indicate the current situation of illegal immigration between Kinmen and Xiamen coastal area. According to Kinmen Daily News (2006- 2016) on illegal immigration reports, it exams the criminal case sentence in Kinmen District Court and concludes regulations to prevent illegal immigration between Mainland China and Taiwan. Also, the report analyzes the trial of illegal immigration between Kinmen and Xiamen coastal area. As a result, it is expected to be a model on policy making and revision on both side across the trait, and served as an operation references across departments.
