碩士 / 國立高雄應用科技大學 / 電子工程系 / 105 / In recent years, with the rapid development of Taiwan's economy, parking demand is increasing when the number of vehicles rises. However, most of the large and complex parking lots only provide display mechanism with the reaming parking spaces, so it’s very difficult to find a vacant parking spot without wasting fuel and circling the block in such above parking lots. Therefore, if the parking lots can provide a solution to guide the drivers reach the precise parking space directly, it can save the drivers’ fuel and time for looking the parking spaces, avoiding accident from distraction and achieve parking purpose rapidly.
In this thesis, we present a parking lot navigation system based on particle swarm optimization (PSO) and electrical tags. This system monitors parking states by infrared detector, and with the aid of electrical tags based background wireless infrastructure tracks the position of the drivers entering the parking garage, the appropriate parking spaces are found by PSO and send the navigation result to the driver’s smartphone.
The simulation results show that drivers can be guided to parking space rapidly by the proposed navigation system, which could improve the parking experience and increase the efficiency of parking facilities.
