碩士 / 國立中興大學 / 生物產業管理研究所 / 105 / According to the White Paper on the Tourism Policy of Tourism Bureau, it is said that government expects to focus on local characteristics to develop tourist attractions, as to make them prosperous. Among the many local culture industries, tea industry has been 200 years long, but previous studies of tea industry has many works about production and lack of investigating tourism industry. Thus, this study would consider the tea industry of local culture industries, focusing on the impact of tourism image and word of mouth on travel intension simultaneously. Quantity questionnaires were adopted in this study, taking the sample of tourists who travelled to Zhushan, Mingjian, Yuchi and Lugu townships.
The results showed that tourism image has positive effect on travel intension, but word of mouth has a negative correlation between tourism image and travel intension. In addition, the tourism image of Yuchi to tourists is strongest. Second strongest is Lugu, next is Mingjian and Zhushan is the weakest. Most tourists feel the tourism image of Yuchi is mainly landscapes, Mingjian is mainly on tea industry activities, yet the tourism image of Mingjian is not prominent.
The results of this study could be used as a contribution in relevant academic research on tea industry from Zhushan, Mingjian, Yuchi and Lugu townships, also provide references for tourism policies by government, hoping to promote tourism on tea industry.
