碩士 / 國立成功大學 / 航空太空工程學系碩士在職專班 / 105 / For significantly increasing air traffic quantity in the future, since 1983, ICAO developed the CNS/ATM for Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen). It is necessary for Civil Aviation (CA) to be equipped with the Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) facilities to meet requirements, but the Military Aviation doesn’t. But since the ADS-B system is designed for Civil Aviation originally, how ADS-B can be equipped into Military Aviation shall need some alterations to fit military requirements.
This thesis evaluates the ADS-B advantages and utilization method for military, from the point of view which is related to mission accomplishment and Flight Safety improvement. To define the military version ADS-B transponder characteristics that satisfy to Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) when conducting operation inside the ADS-B required environment. And setup the appropriate procedures to operate transponder throughout the all phases of mission from “Pre-flight check” to “Return to Base (RTB).”
