碩士 / 南榮科技大學 / 工程科技研究所碩士班 / 105 / Due to the improvement of technology, development of internet, and mobile communications, digitalized and actions of communication has become a natural tendency. Dao-feng Inland Sea was a lagoon, located in west seashore in Tainan, surrounded by and dunes, which once made Maogangwei Harbor and Madou Harbor prosperous and flourishing. Madou Harbor was the earliest developed in Madou areas. The reappearance of historic antiques and waterways become known the context of Taiwanese history and the magnificence of Dao-feng Inland Sea. The establishment of Dao-feng Inland Sea History Museum emerges into experiencing enjoying learning, which the history we can see and we can touch is more important than the written one. It is also a museum where history, memories of Pingpu Tribe present to the community residents.
The main themes of innovative valued communication technology and activating Dao-feng Inland Sea History Museum are divided into four parts: “Previous and Present Generations of Dao-feng Inland Sea” , “The Grand Exploration of Dao-feng Inland Sea”, “Cultures and Historis of Dao-feng Inland Sea”, “How Dao-feng Inland Sea Transforming into Plains”, which explain the active and unique of Dao-feng Inland Sea gradually became land in early 18th century, and became instantly plains in 19th century.
This thesis aimed at using digital technologies to reform and transcend the purposes and the functionalities of the Dao-feng Inland Sea History Museum by applying three strategies: Digital Value-added Design, AR (Augmented Reality) and Google Maps. By employing Digital Value-added Design to map out four different story themes and reinvent the storytelling. Utilizing AR to store and categorize the main attractions of the History museum’s digital contents into flashcards. Visitors can interact initiatively by using mobile devices in a much informative platform which provide them to experience rich and diverse histories and cultures. Further building interactive application let people learn more histories and cultures about Dao-feng Inland Sea which will make them identify their own histories, cultures and recognize the change of geographic areas.
