碩士 / 國立高雄海洋科技大學 / 航運管理研究所 / 105 / The purpose of this research is to discuss operating efficiency of green container terminals. In the relevant studies, most researches focus the assessment of operating efficiency for container ports. Further, in the assessment items, most studies emphasize on the economic elements. From the viewpoint of sustainable development, both the elements of environment and safety should also be included. In this research, based on theory of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), three assessment models of operating efficiency for container terminals are proposed with considering the assessment elements of economy, environment and safety. Further, for validating the proposed model, the operators of container terminals in Kaohsiung port are investigated. The proposed model may provide references for researches of DEA in practical applications, and the empirical study may provide practical information for operators of container terminals to improve their operating efficiencies.
