碩士 / 國立高雄海洋科技大學 / 航運管理研究所 / 105 / The objective of the study was to analyze the key factors of running Container Terminal No.7 and also to evaluate the effects on the container terminal industries when the terminal is in operation. First part of the research came out with a variety of assessment criteria that play important roles on the influence of running Container Terminal NO.7 based on literature review. The result showed the desire of shipping lines to deploy the routes, the external transportation planning of terminal and the desire of foreign companies to invest terminal are the top three important factors. The second part aims to evaluate the influence on container terminal industries under the circumstance of running Container Terminal No.7. IPA-alike module analysis was employed in the two-dimension of possibility and effect. The outcome revealed the most possible benefit is to fulfill the trend of large container ship development, but it would also bring direct impacts on the existing terminal related industries. Meanwhile, the port company needs to come out with a comprehensive plan to manage the probable existing idle terminals.
