The Communication Performance Study of Automatic Identification System / 船舶自動識別系統通訊效能之研究

碩士 / 國立高雄海洋科技大學 / 電訊工程研究所 / 105 / The importance of the ocean to the global economic and political development is beyond doubt. The claims for marine rights and the control of ocean affairs have a direct impact on the security and development of the country. Therefore, countries are also actively promoting the relevant policies to develop the marine transport system towards the wisdom of information technology.
As mentioned above, in order to effectively control the dynamic information of navigational ship on the waters under our jurisdiction and cope with the high degree of internationalization of marine transport characteristics and enhance the competitiveness of Taiwan related industries.
In this thesis, we propose a two-phase research to improve the communication performance of Automatic Identification System (AIS). In the first stage, it focus on the performance of AIS base station antenna in different cases of type or structure, then we propose an antenna for AIS base station to improve the signal receiving performance. In the second stage, it uses relay transmission technology to extend AIS information coverage through the function of receiving and forwarding the AIS signal, which extends the AIS monitoring distance to build a wider AIS information coverage area.
Through the research of this thesis, we hope to achieve effective monitoring of ship navigation information, and more clearly and comprehensively grasp the situation of the navigation environment in the sea area around Taiwan, thus enhancing navigation safety.
