The Development of LED Light Source Stereoscopic Cultivation System with the Organic Nutrient Tidal Irrigation and Amino Acid Foliar Fertilization / 結合有機養液潮汐式灌溉與胺基酸葉面施肥模式之LED光源立體栽培系統研製

碩士 / 國立屏東科技大學 / 生物機電工程系所 / 105 / This study is to establish a soilless cultivation system which integrated with a tidal irrigation and two layers of artificial LED lights for planting of lettuce. The system used the controlled organic fertilizer and amino acid foliar fertilization system for plants. The pH and EC values of the nutrient solution can be automated compensation by the fertilization system. The histories of EC, temperature and water content in the artificial medium are recorded by data logger. The status of leaf area of plants is captured by optical camera and calculated home-made Matlab program. Shooting on the crops during planting were achieved for further study. The aboveground fresh weight, dry weight, root weight, SPAD of plants and nitrate content were measured at post-harvest time. The information was used to identify the crop characteristics, inspect on the operation and intend to improve the performance of system.
In the first run, we found the use of pure organic nutrient solution from agriculture waste is not ideal for lettuce growth. The reason is that the nitrate content such as nitrogen and K is less than those in typical chemical nutrient solution used in the hydroponic system. The highest average value of Nitric acid in plants only reaches 1896ppm, which means these plants with the organic solutions are much safety for foods.
According to the results from experiment 1 and experiment 2, it is obvious that the plant height and the measured SPAD value of the lettuce are significantly different. The use of amino acid foliar fertilizer can effectively increased the leaf area of lettuce. The appropriate dilute concentration up to 500 times of water to amino acid foliar fertilizer can stimulate the growth of leaves. Results indicated that the use of high concentration of fertilizer in the tidal irrigation system should be associated with the proper adjustment of the irrigation cycle and residue, to ensure the health growth of lettuce and Nitric acid of leaves below of the standard value.
