碩士 / 國立臺灣體育運動大學 / 體育研究所 / 105 / The development of Taiwan’s basketball has been recognized internationally following a landmark victory against China in men’s FIBA Asia Championship held in Manila in 2013 and the women’s finishing 4th in the Asia Basketball Cup in Wuhan in 2014. As these achievements made Taiwan ever more visible to the international basketball community, Taiwanese players have also become increasingly sought after by basketball clubs abroad, resulting in more media coverage on Taiwanese players in other countries as well. The current study first investigates the evolution of Taiwan’s basketball development; this is followed by an analysis of the migration of Taiwanese basketball players, including a comparative study on the migration of male players versus that of female players.
In order to the meet the research objectives described above, the current work is mainly based on literature review and employs the theory of governance as the theoretical framework. The literature review includes records of in-depth interviews with different stakeholders, which have been conducive to understanding not only the development of basketball in Taiwan, but also the interactions among different parties and how the stakeholders benefitted from the migration of basketball players.
Research results show that the migration of Taiwan basketball player is subject to Dynamic spatio-temporal evolution with the influence of a social phenomenon, science and technology with each passing day awning development, political, economic, social and cultural as time flows quickly and make all transactions and activities in the context of time, and Taiwan basketball player migration along with the time change and all events are spatio ‐ temporal in.
The rise of migration of Taiwan basketball player, to jointly by various interested relationship, the interest relationship is different role and advantage, is also affected by the social environment for the development of dynamic time, under the basketball development throughout Taiwan, Taiwan basketball governance mechanism of the present state of confusion, also make the various interests relationship still has power, interest allocation and liability fuzzy problems exist, such as Taiwan basketball player transfer structure completely no effective governance mechanism of exercise, restricted the development of basketball in Taiwan, and through Dynamic spatio-temporal present Taiwan basketball over the collapse of the state.
