Relationships Between Fish Assemblages and Geomorphic Habitats in Tributaries / 支流淡水魚類群聚與地形棲地之關係

碩士 / 國立臺南大學 / 生態科學與技術學系環境生態碩士班 / 105 / The habitat of streams is an important factor to affecting stream fish assemblage, and the environmental factors of different scales have different effects on the habitat use of fish. The impact of the dams on the stream fish assemblage in the upstream of Taiwan is also far-reaching. The goal of this study was to understand the relationship between habitat and fish assemblage at different scales. Fish were collected and habitat was surveyed in Oct. 2015 and Jan. and Feb. 2016, in three tributaries of Nanzihsian River, Beixihang River, Dishueikan River and Fangliao River, Ranges. Site characteristics include habitat assessment, reach type, water quality, substrate, canopy and channel units.
The results showed that the environmental factors of reach scale had great explanatory power than channel unite. There were significant differences in fish assemblages in different types of reach. While the environmental factor explanatory power of channel unit scale was not as the reach scale, but still importance to specific species. Fish assemblage were no differences between the tributaries, only the environmental factors in the second season was, but impact was not significant. The impact of the single dam to the overall stream is not significant, but it has a considerable impact on the fish assemblage because it blocks the channel of fish migration.
