碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 海洋環境資訊系 / 105 / The seawaters were collected from the inshore of Taiwan and across the Taiwan Strait to China in October, 2015 and were analyzed seven studied pharmaceuticals compounds by the solid-phase extraction pre-concentration step coupled with LC/MS/MS detection. An environmental risk assessment for the marine environment was conducted based on the environment risk quotient (ERQ).
The concentrations of the analyzed compounds in seawaters generally decreased with seawards. The seven analyzed pharmaceutical residuals can be detected in inshore seawater. However, only five pharmaceutical residuals were detected in the Northern Taiwan Strait seawater and the concentration ranges were as follows: Ketoprofen, 3.68-6.77ng/L; Acetaminophen, <0.81-1.13 ng/L; Gemfibrozil, <0.23-15.12 ng/L; Carbamazepin, <0.23-1.17 ng/L, and Caffeine 0.95-9.75 ng/L. The concentrations of Sulfamethoxazole and Naproxen were below the detection limit, even the seawaters were pre-concentrated as 4000 folds. The ERQ values of these pharmaceutical residuals was generally less than 0.1. The present study suggests that the Taiwan Strait seawater is also contaminated by the pharmaceutical residuals.
