碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 運輸科學系 / 105 / The progress of transport facilities and the internet have led to the development of globalization, which have also led to the trend of regional economic integration. The rise of regional economic integration, shipping and logistics services for international product delivery will have a certain impact on trade. This paper aims to examine how international logistics performance, container transport connectivity and regional integration, particularly the future regional comprehensive economic partnership agreements (RCEP) affect trade. Therefore, we use the Poisson quasi-maximun likelihood gravity equation, and used the cross-section data of 2007, 2010 and 2015. And, through the basic gravity model variables, liner shipping connectivity index, logistics performance index, container port traffic and regional dummy variables to investigate the impacts of maritime transport, logistics and regional economic integration on trade. In addition, we discussed the impact of different industries on trade. The major findings of our paper can be summarized as follows: (1) Liberalization of international trade and modern transport equipment can reduce trade barriers, but it still cannot completely eliminate the impact of distance on trade. (2) Liner shipping connectivity index, logistics performance index and container port traffic have a positive impact on trade, and the impact of logistics performance index on trade have improved. (3) The extent of the impact of different industries on the export of RECP members was considerable different, and it can be inferred RCEP member countries in the industry supply chain has variety degrees of intensity with each other. (4) We use the Poisson quasi-maximun likelihood gravity equation, and proved it can improve the trade value of zero within the international trade data, and the bias of traditional gravity model. In addition, we also through the data to support the value of this model.
