The Study of Experiential Learning to Ocean Stewardship and Proenvironmental Behavior Intention- Compare Indonesia and Taiwan / 體驗學習對海洋管家精神與支持環境行為意圖之研究-比較印尼與臺灣

Even though they have large ocean but both of these countries have different style to increase the careness of the ocean. Indonesia has ocean larger than Taiwan, the researcher has compare the territory of sea and territory of land. But Taiwan has better way to keep citizens care their ocean environment because of promoting marine education to develop their knowledge. The motivation of this research is to explain Experiential Learning, Ocean Stewardship and people’s Proenvironmental Behavior Intention to their environment, the result expects to encourage people’ ocean literacy knows more about ocean and also they can keep care of their environment. In this research, there are 767 participants that took from both country, 377 of participants are from Taiwan and 390 of participants are from indonesia. This research used survey method to collect the data from Indonesia and Taiwan. The t-test shows that the mean of Experiential Learning and Ocean Stewardship for Indonesia is higher than Taiwan; but Proenvironmental Behavior Intention is lower than Taiwan sample. Besides, Experiential Learning is positive related to Proenvironmental Behavior Intention both in Taiwan and Indonesia samples, it means when people active to do Experiential Learning and their Proenvironmental Behavior Intention will also increase. Experiential Learning is positive related to Ocean Stewardship both in Taiwan and Indonesia students. The Ocean Stewardship is positive related to Proenvironmental Behavior Intention both in Taiwan and Indonesia students. However, the role of ocean students between Experiential Learning and Proenvironmental Behavior Intention relationship is full mediation, but Taiwan sample is partial mediate. The results provide a cross nation compare to understand the way of promoting marine education. Through Experiential Learning and Ocean Stewardship.
