Global Structural Response Analyses of a Trimaran in Waves / 三體船在波浪中之整體結構反應分析

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 系統工程暨造船學系 / 105 / A structure of trimaran consists of one central-hull and two side hulls , with a cross deck connecting all of them. The advantages that the trimaran offers the high speed and relatively stable performances and more spacious space to load cargo or passenger. The structure of trimaran is complex, the central-hull has mono-hull load characteristics, and the cross deck also has similar catamaran load characteristics, so the structural analyses of trimaran in waves are important to Naval Architect.

In this paper, the extreme wave load predictions are based on the reference of Yang [13]. Based on the technique of equivalent regular design waves, the ship inertial forces, hydrodynamic pressure distributions of FEM model nodes have been calaulated by the HSC-3D. The global structural response analyses of a trimaran in waves have been carried out by using the FEM analysis software ANSYS to get the structure responses and stress concentrations of the trimaran in waves.

Based on the numerical study, the stress concentrations on the amidship which connect the bridge and the corss deck have been occurred. The stress concentrations on the cross deck are found nearby the stern in the oblique wave conditions. The stress concentrations at transverse bulkhead are due to the the bending moment when side hulls in wave crest or wave trough.
