The investigation of End plate propeller on high-speed boats / 端版螺槳應用於高速快艇的探討

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 系統工程暨造船學系 / 105 / In this study, the performance and cavitation extension of the four-blade endplate propeller ENDP408 with different pitch ratios including 1.4 and 1.6 are investigated. The four-blade endplate propeller with these pitch ratios has been tested in National Taiwan Ocean University’s medium-sized cavitation tunnel covering a wide range of cavitation numbers (atmosphere, 1.5, 1.0, 0.75, 0.6 and 0.5) and shaft inclination angles (0 deg, 8 deg, and 10 deg).
It is known from the test results: At any inclination angles and cavitation numbers, the efficiency of ENDP408 with 1.6 pitch ratio is higher than that with 1.4 pitch ratio. Some tip vortex cavitation and bubble cavitation are observed for the ENDP408 with 1.4 pitch ration at 0.75, 0.6, and 0.5 cavitation numbers. For the ENDP408 with 1.6 pitch ration, bubble cavitation is found at 0.6, and 0.5 cavitation numbers. As comparing the results of ENDP408 with those of ENDP406A:Although the efficiency of ENDP408 is slightly worse than that of ENDP406A, the thrust breakdown of ENDP408 is reduced and the root cavitation is improved by increasing the chord length near the root.
