碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 系統工程暨造船學系 / 105 / The paper aims to improve the performance of augmented diffuser duct on ocean current generator developed by NTOU. The power coefficient CP of the newly designed duct calculated by CFD in transitional flow is up to 1.264. Then the prototype has been built, optimized and tested in Large Cavitation Tunnel for verification.
From the experimental results, the actual power output of the generator has reached 3.50KW with 1.265 power coefficient CP for the turbine blade, quite close to the CFD one. Besides, the flow accelerating effect of both augmented diffuser duct and wall boundary works significantly. It also means that the dual duct concept (CP=1.05 by CFD simulation) derived from this innovative idea has great potential in the future.
