Cultivation and Care of Caridina Ecosystem Tank-Establishing Students'Learning Interest and Care Behavior / 米蝦生態水族缸的養殖與照護-培養學生學習興趣和照護行為

碩士 / 國立臺北教育大學 / 自然科學教育學系 / 105 / The curriculum of the 12 year compulsory education emphasizes on the processes of experiencing the practices the scientific phenomena of the nature. The objectives of the school education should induce students’ learning motivations and passions, help students apply and practice what they have learned, and experienced meaning of life, to endeavor in sustainable developments of the nature and culture. In order to guide pupils on learning how to respect the nature and to co co-prosper with the naturl environments, the researcher has designed a “Caridina ecosystem tank” feeding course to let pupils understand the concepts of how human beings co-exit with the nature and sustainably use of natural resources. In addition, it teaches pupils how to well use senses; through manual practicing and experiencing scientific theories to enhance pupils’ learning interest and care behavior.
The present research is to promote pupils’ learning on aquatic organisms, and uses guided inquiry teaching method to design the “Caridina ecosystem tank” experiencing course. There are 4 classes of 4th grade elementary students, 120 in total, as the research objects. The experiment group was taught with the “Caridina ecosystem tank” school-based aqua world course, and the control group was taught with the “Caridina ecosystem tank” general course. The researcher used “Caridina ecology learning interest scale” and “Caridina ecology caring behavior scale” as the measuring tools. With the help of student interview records, teacher retrospect logs, teaching observation records and learning sheets etc. data base, the researcher analyzed the data and the deducted results as the follows:
1.By using the “Caridina ecosystem tank ” school-based aqua world course, it can promote students’ learning interests efficiently for aqua organism unit course.
2.Through the “Caridina ecosystem tank” school-based aqua world course design and practice, it can promote students’ interests to take care of living organisms and responsible caring behaviors.
3.After experiencing the “Caridina ecosystem tank” school-based aqua world course, it can promote students’ concepts of respecting life and further put the caring for community environments into practice.
