碩士 / 國立臺北教育大學 / 藝術與造形設計學系碩士班 / 105 / "Taipei Century Choir" was established in 1986, and held annual concerts every year. In 2003, this choir became an independent performing group, and the themes of the concerts became more diverse. Every poster represents the concert of the year, and is also used to promote the concert.
In this project, the 2003-2016 concert posters were analyzed and discussed in terms of the content and style with a view to explore the evolution of the post design over this period. Totally, there are 15 posters were collected and analyzed. Interview survey to the designers of the posters is also conducted in order to uncover the reasons how a poster is designed and the manifestations to the concert. The results are proposed as following:
1. Catch phrase in the posters is based on Chinese calligraphy in majority, which conforms to the type of cultural poster. Texture performance is the most commonly used on posters. In graphic performance, concert related images are used the most.
2. Meaning of images are easily connected to the theme, and meanings of colors refer to the meaning of pure, elegant, and prosperous, which are some essence of choir music.
3. After 2003, frequency of English catch phrase using has increased.
