The Study of Decarbonization Fired Portfolio and Demand Side Management Strategy on Power System : Considering the Benefit of Conversion of CO2 into Biodiesel by Microalgae / 電力系統深度低碳技術組合與需求管理策略之研究-考量微藻固碳技術與再利用效益

碩士 / 國立臺北大學 / 自然資源與環境管理研究所 / 105 / The Paris Agreement was achieved, therefore, the deep decarbonization has became an important strategy to achieve the greenhouse gas emission reduction commitments. Power generation sector account for 50% Greenhouse gas emissions in Taiwan, so the decarbonizing electricity is the key to reduce the emission.International Energy Agency's report said the Carbon Capture and Storage is the indispensable technology to Greenhouse Gas Reduction. There are 22 CCS projects in the world now, which would capture 40 million tons of CO2 every year. However, there are some lititation of CCS storage, so fixing carbon by using the microalgae has became an important way. The purpose of this study incorporates carbon capture from coal-fire, and to raise microalgae for producing biodiesel, and to plan optimal electricity technology portfolio which can achieve the goals of electricity demand, carbon reduction and the risk of power system by 2050. In addition, established an power demand model to forecast the demand of mid-long term to plan the electricity saving.
This study estimated the demand of electricity are 273.4 billion kWh in 2020, 294.6 billion kWh in 2025, 294 billion kWh in 2030, 264.2 billion kWh in 2040 and 209.6 billion kWh in 2050. The power generation cost and risk value of Taiwanese energy policy is roughly the same to every situation in this study, but the emission of the policy's portfolio is over the target much more in Taiwan.
