碩士 / 國立臺灣藝術大學 / 音樂學系 / 105 / Heitor Villa-Lobos ‘s “ Twelve Etudes ” from the perspective both of technical practice and musical work, is one of the pillars of the guitar repertoire and commonly found in programs of all levels. Originally published in Paris in 1953, a second edition was released in 1990. Recently the composer’s handwritten manuscript from 1928 was also discovered. This thesis compares the two editions between 1953 and 1928, analyzes the works, and offers suggestions for interpretation.
