Study of Alginate Microcapsules Coated with DeoxyArbutin by Using Different Conditions of Polyols and Calcium Chloride / 研究不同條件多元醇和氯化鈣製備海藻酸鈣膠囊包覆去氧化熊果素觀察其特性

碩士 / 靜宜大學 / 化粧品科學系 / 105 / In recent years, cosmetics market has grown, besides, the skin whitening cosmetics has been the most people pursue. To develop effective whitening ingredient has now become a trend. deoxyArbutin (dA) is a derivative of arbutin, this compound has been synthesized by the removal of hydroxyl groups from the glucose side-chain of arbutin. According to studies, the skin whitening effect of deoxyArbutin (dA) is better than hydroquinone and arbutin due to deoxyArbutin has the greater inhibitory effect of tyrosinase activity, it is safer and less cytotoxic compared with hydroquinone and arbutin. However, deoxyArbutin is a thermolabile compound, which may be affected by light and temperature decomposes into hydroquinone. The deficiency of stability caused practical difficulties for the use of deoxyArbutin in cosmetics and medications. On the other hand, microencapsulation of deoxyArbutin is potentially an excellent way to overcome such problem according to its good biocompatibility and stable wrapping. In study, alginate microcapsules made from different proportions of propylene glycol and water affect the release of the effect.
