碩士 / 國立臺北科技大學 / 電機工程研究所 / 105 / The OFDM is a modulated technology with high bandwidth efficiency. It can provide high data rates with limited bandwidth. However, one of the drawbacks is the high peak-to-average power ratio(PAPR). High PAPR results in the degradation of the system performance at the receiver. Many PAPR reduction methods need to transmit side information(SI), but it will cause the degradation of the bandwidth efficiency. In this thesis, we aim to research the PAPR reduction method without transmitting SI.
This thesis proposes an improved Pilot-Shifting PAPR reduction method which is based on pilot shifting technique combined the SLM without side information. Computer simulation shows our method can efficiently reduce PAPR in AWGN channel.
