碩士 / 國立中正大學 / 心理學系臨床心理學研究所 / 106 / Subjective Cognitive Decline (SCD) has been considered a risk factor of Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) and worthy of disease prediction in preclinical stages. Thus, it is crucial to develop an assessment tool to quantify the subjective complaints for the purpose of screening and monitoring. However, assessment tools of SCD are highly heterogeneous, and it still lacks proper measures for local use in Taiwan. Therefore, the purpose of the present study was to develop and validate the Taiwan Subjective Cognitive Decline Questionnaire (TSCDQ), according to the conceptual framework published by the Subjective Cognitive Decline Initiative. Ninety-six cognitively normal controls (CN), 39 SCDs, and 40 mild cognitive impairment (MCI) subjects completed the preliminary TSCDQ and a series of neuropsychological battery, including cognitive and emotional assessment. Another 155 informants were recruited for the development of the informant-reported form of the TSCDQ. The results of the item-analysis and factor-analysis showed that the best version of the self-report TSCDQ consisted of 14 items with a 3-factor structure assessing orientation and executive function (6 items), memory (4 items), and language (4 items), while the informant-reported form with the same items was unidimensional. The self-reported TSCDQ scores could distinguish high risk groups of AD (i.e. SCD and MCI), especially when using the memory measures (p < .001), after controlling for emotional status. By contrast, the informant-reported TSCDQ scores showed no group differences. Both forms of TSCDQ significantly correlated with some objective neuropsychological tests. The current study developed the TSCDQ and provides preliminary validation of the questionnaire for future study and clinical use.
