碩士 / 逢甲大學 / 土木工程學系 / 106 / With the coming of the global economic era, the competitive environment faced by enterprises has expanded from domestic to overseas markets, and is no longer confined in Taiwan. In order to find more competitive production resources and enable them to be closer to market demand, it is necessary to set up bases overseas. In recent years, the rise of China has also affected the development of Taiwan's construction industry overseas. In the past, Taiwan's construction industry has accomplished a lot of construction projects in the Westward Islands and towards Southeast Asia’s development. This study is based on the construction process of a 600-bed Compaore hospital in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, West Africa, with research analysis to review the problems encountered during the construction process: analyze the labor issues, adaptability of expatriates, difficulty in acquiring the designed construction materials, environmental climate, human habits, etc., to obtain the transportation costs of materials must be paid attention to when considering the construction and management costs, selection and assignment of expatriates, and the factors that can be considered in the subsequent undertaking the overseas construction individual cases to avoid causing troubles to the business operations and to achieve the smooth progression of projects.
