碩士 / 逢甲大學 / 運輸與物流學系 / 106 / In recent years the development of public transit has became the mainly cmmmon policy for Taiwanese cities in present. Both of central and local governments are committed to the development of rail transportion system or light rail transportion system, public transit system in the domestic city of the most widely used and most common is the bus system.
Since 2000, Taichung city and Taichung county merged into a municipality, in order to encourage people to take the public transportion and urban sustainable development, Taichung City Government has launched several bus reform program, but a large area of private transportion mode in Taichung city is quite popular, the bus operation and labor costs increased year by year, both inside and outside the factors, it did hit the operating environment for bus service, in order to stimulate the increasing of public transit, Taichung City Government budgeted for public transport subsidies every year. However, the budget is always limited, how to allocate government subsidies rationally in to the right bus route will be an important issues for Taichung City Government.
This study aims at analyzing the impacts of subsidy policy on public transit operation based on the data of 2015 and 2016, this study use general linear regeression analysis and chi-square test, then find out the correlation between different subsidies and bus ridership. This study major analyzes the difference between the subsidy policy by passenger and mileage, and explaines currentl supply resource of public transit and subsidy policy. Moverover, this study will provide suggestions for bus operation and Taichung City Government to make reference the policy of public transportation in the future.
