碩士 / 逢甲大學 / 經營管理碩士在職學位學程 / 106 / The rapid decline of the birthrate in Taiwan has had great impacts on the whole society. However, the phenomenon creates good time for the development of new businesses. The purpse of the study is to look into the attitude, behavior and strategies of those joining in overseas study tours. Overseas study tours have had a long history. However, with the advance of techonology and the change of the social structure, the ways to manage overseas study tours also need some changes. Thus, the study tries to create new strategies by studying parents’ attitude and behavior toward overseas study tours.
The study is based on qualitative study. The researcher has interviewed many parents whose children either have joined in overseas study tours or whose children plan, but yet, have not joined in any. In the interviews, parents not only give excellent opinions on questions, but also offer good perspectives for further research.
In the findings, the researcher finds that in the families of double incomes or in the families whose incomes are above the average, parents are more than happy to spend money on children’s education. When children are growing up, parents are happy to give them one or two overseas study tours. Besides, parents value the curricular design and children’s safety on the study tour most. Therefore, how to offer children a safe tour and good classes are the key elements to attracting more customers.
