Study on the Impact of Aeolian sand to Coastal Environment / 海岸飛沙對海岸環境影響之研究

碩士 / 弘光科技大學 / 環境工程研究所 / 106 / This study explores the impact of coastal aeolian sands on the environment of Taichung Port. MIKE 21 Hydro Dynamics (HD) model and Sediment Transport (ST) model were used to investigate the influence of an aeolian sands in the Taichung Port under the influence of wind speeds and wind direction and tidal current interaction.
According to the measurement and analysis results, the aeolian sands have highly correlation with wind speeds and wind direction. The aeolian sand is easy to occur during the winter monsoon season. During the winter monsoon periods, the sands of the Dajia river were deposited in Taichung Port North silting area by tidal current action and strong wind speeds. In the recent years, a large amount of silt up in Taichung Port North silting area has caused a large amount of aeolian sand to accumulate under the windbreak wall, causing the aeolian sand to cross the windbreak wall, while the aeolian sand transit the embankment entered the Taichung Port channel, influence the Taichung Port area and Silt in the harbor channel.
According to the estimated results, the amount of aeolian sand from 2001 to 2017 is about 13.33~39.26 m3/m-year. The converted sand transport rate is estimated to be 34.79m3/m-year.
