A Study on Backpacking Travel Motivation,Contraints and Intentions among Elementary School Teachers-A case of Luzhu District in Taoyuan City Public Primary School Teachers / 國小教師參與海外自助旅行之旅遊動機、阻礙因素和參與意願之研究-以桃園市蘆竹區公立國小教師為例

碩士 / 開南大學 / 觀光運輸學院碩士在職專班 / 106 / This study aims to explore elementary school teachers’ present status of oversea backpacking travel experience and how their travel motivation and leisure constraints would affect their intension of having a trip in the year to come.By giving out a questionnaire on“the Effects of Travel Motivations and Leisure Constraints on Oversea Backpacking Travel Intension among Elementary School Teachers of Luzhu District in Taoyuan City ”to 400 elementary school teachers, the data of 364 effective questionnaire are analyzed. The effective response rate was 91%. The data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe post comparison and Regression Analysis. The results are listed as follows:
1.61.5% of the elementary school teachers have been oversea backpacking travel during these five years. The percentage of teachers’ intention for oversea backpacking travel in the year to come is 73.3%.
2.According to the influential level on travel motivation, the factors of elementary school teachers’ travel motivation is categorized into four aspects:“resting and relaxation”,“culture experience and learning”,“human interaction”,and “self-realization”. The most selected factor of travel motivation in the result is culture experience and learning”.
3.The factors of elementary school teachers’ leisure contraints are divided into three categories:“intrapersonal constraints”,“interpersonal constraints”and“structural constraints”.The item of“structural constraints”appears to be the highest among the other items of leisure contraints.
4.Travel motivation of oversea backpacking travel is significantly associated with “gender”, “age” and “years of teaching”.Leisure contraints of oversea backpacking travel is significantly associated with “age” and “educational level”.Future participation intention is significantly associated with “gender”, “age”,“years of teaching”,“years of teaching”and “marital status”.
5.Travel motivation is positively affected with the future participation intention for elementary school teachers. Leisure constraints are negatively affected with the future participation intention for elementary school teachers.
