碩士 / 國立中興大學 / 高階經理人碩士在職專班 / 106 / In the era of globalization, the transnational development of enterprises has become an inevitable direction for growth. In addition to hiring local employee, transnational corporations must also send expatriates. Their motives and goals of accepting overseas work and the adaptation of life and work at the dispatched place have become an important basis for the success of the company’s foreign assignment strategy. Therefore, in this study, by in-depth interviews of expatriates in Shanghai’s banking industry to understand their sentiments and motivations of the expatriates, the adaptation of the work to the living environment, and the commitments and assignments
of the companies.
In terms of setting, the willingness to expatriates is divided into organizational commitment, personal characteristics, and education and training. As a result, it is found that the reason why the bankers in the Shanghai area are assigned to accept assignments is mainly their own personalities, and it is not related to the company’s commitments.Although the company has education and training, it can''t connect with the work of the century''s expatriates, so it will not affect the sentiment of expatriates. After the assignment, the situation of adapting to work and life, although there may be situations where some places are not suitable for initial assignment, has been overcome and will not affect the work. Finally, with regard to the realization of organizational commitments, it is found that whether or not an organization commits itself or whether it is implemented or not, it will not affect the effectiveness of the assignments and the willingness to accept them again in the future.
