Analysis on Advantages of Offshore Wind Turbines in Western Seas of Taiwan-Take the Changhua Offshore Area as an Example / 台灣西部海域設置離岸風力發電機優勢分析-以彰化外海為例

碩士 / 國立彰化師範大學 / 電機工程學系 / 106 / In recent years, Taiwan's power generation hits high record. It means that the entire Taiwan society is quite dependent on the demand for electricity and energy. Electricity brings convenience to life, but we do not understand how electricity is produced. There are many ways to generate electricity, such as thermal power generation, nuclear power generation, renewable energy power generation, and etc. Each power generation method has its advantages or disadvantages. For example, the operation cost of nuclear power generation is low, power generation performance is excellent and stable, but it has to bear the hidden dangers of nuclear radiation. The cost of renewable energy power generation is high but it is derived from natural resources for the environment, and it is a clean green energy. In order to make the environment sustainable and take into account the economic prosperity of Taiwan, the government vigorously promotes the development of renewable energy. The current renewable energy policy is to plan the establishment of wind turbines in western part of Changhua. The western part of Changhua in Taiwan is the most suitable place for this development plan.
This thesis mainly analyzes the wind power generation in Taiwan land area. In order to understand Taiwan's decades of land-based wind power development results. Compare to the long history of wind power in European countries, wind turbines are even built from land to sea. Although offshore wind turbines have started relatively slowly in Taiwan, with the help of the development experience of wind power majorities in Europe, will set up a world-class offshore wind power settlement on this vast ocean in western Taiwan. From the content of this study, we can see the favorable conditions for developing offshore wind power in the western seas of Taiwan, In addition to compare land-based wind power generation with offshore wind power generation and introducing the operational performance of large-scale offshore wind power station in Europe. This is an important reference for Taiwan's future construction of offshore wind power stations. Planning and analysis will be conducted in advance, it will facilitate the follow-up program to promote.
