Effects of environmental temperature and dietary microalgae species on condition factor and gonadal development of oyster (Crassostrea angulata) / 不同環境溫度與微藻種類對葡萄牙牡蠣(Crassostrea angulata)的肥滿度與生殖腺發育的影響

碩士 / 國立嘉義大學 / 水生生物科學系研究所 / 106 / Crassostrea angulate is one of the most important aquaculture shellfish species in Taiwan, the production areas of it are all over the country. However, cause by global environmental changes and many artificial reasons, natural spats of Crassostrea angulate reduces year by year, following growth reducing and mass motility. The aim of this experiments is focus on annual physiological changes and broodstocks of oyster in field in the Qigu area and following laboratorial experiments on brood stocks with changing food and environmental temperature. The researcher calculated fatness and survival, using histologial examinations to anaylsis GSI (Gonadosomatic index), hepatopancreas ratio, gametogenic stages, sex ratio and egg length.
From 2016, Jan. to 2017, Jan. In the field, egg length had no different between months. Fatness and GSI significant increase from February to May, however, hepatopancreas ratio decreasing gradually until July. The sex ratio was greater than others in April to June, and we observe that spawning period meet the traditional spats collected season in Taiwan.
Brood stocks oyster were cultured under 20 ℃、25 ℃、30 ℃ control temperature rooms, and then fed four diets (Chaetoceros muelleri、Tetraselmis suecica、Isochrysis sp. and mix three microalgaes equally). The result show that, temperature significant affected survival rate and fatness. However, different diets can effective increase GSI (Gonadosomatic index) and fatness but made no difference in survival rate. Finally, there was no significant difference in hepatopancreas ratio between different temperature regimes and diets. Surprisingly, there were only male oysters and no gender oyster existed at higher temperatures. It also found the spawning periods of high temperatures shorter than oyster culture in low temperature. So the high temperature which made lead to the decrease of female oysters, may be the cause of the lack of natural oyster spats. This result can also support correct microalgae diets (Chaetoceros muelleri、Tetraselmis suecica、Isochrysis sp. mix equally) and appropriate temperature (20 - 25 ℃) can significant help the culture result of brood stocks oysters.
