碩士 / 國立高雄海洋科技大學 / 漁業生產與管理研究所 / 106 / The yellow-spotted skate (Okamejei hollandi) is a common bycatch species of trawl fishery in the southwestern Taiwan waters. A total of 850 specimens (including 492 females and 358 males) were collected monthly from Dec. 2016 to Dec. 2017 at Ke-zi-liao fishing port, Kaohsiung City. Size distribution of disc width (DW) for both females and males ranged 6.0-31.5 cm DW and 6.5-27.3 cm DW, respectively. Growth band pairs in vertebrae were determined to be formed annually, based on the opaque and translucent zones. Opaque bands were formed in November. The Roberstson growth function had the best fit for both sexes. The Roberstson growth function was "L" _"t" "=31.481/(1+" "e" ^"-0.367" ("t-1.067" ) ")" for females and "L" _"t" "=27.193/(1+" "e" ^"-0.460" ("t-1.054" ) ")" for males, respectively. The maximum observed age was 11 (31.5 cm DW) for females and age 9 (27.3 cm DW) for males.
